About me

I’m a UK‑based, BACP registered therapist with 17 years of experience supporting adults and teenagers through a wide range of emotional and life challenges. My work focuses on helping people navigate stress, anxiety, relationship difficulties, family conflict, low self‑esteem, motivation issues, and the general sense of feeling overwhelmed or “stuck.”

A significant part of my practice is dedicated to supporting neurodivergent clients, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA). My approach is neurodiversity affirming, respectful, and grounded in a deep understanding of how different brains experience the world. I work at your pace, adapt communication to your needs, and aim to reduce pressure rather than add to it.

My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and person‑centred. I draw from several evidence based approaches, including:

Strengths based and integrative methods

Solution Focused Therapy

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

I tailor therapy to each individual, focusing on what feels manageable and meaningful for you. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and genuinely heard, a space where you can explore your thoughts, build resilience, and move toward greater clarity and confidence.

Starting therapy is a brave and important step. I’m here to walk alongside you as you navigate whatever you’re facing, whether it’s a specific challenge or a broader emotional journey.

She was fantastic! Listening to me so intently and patient with me. I don’t usually open up so quickly to strangers but she made me feel safe and heard.

She was extremely kind, non-judgemental and empathetic. She gave me time to explain my situation.

Denise is a great listener, ensures she has the facts, asks pertinent questions, provides expert guidance and practice help. Her expertise in dispute resolution, parental support and Autism have been and continue to be invaluable to me. Thank you!
