About me
Starting therapy is a brave step and understanding your own story can be tough, but it’s worth it. My goal is to create a space where you can just be yourself, knowing that all parts of you will be met with compassion, expertise, patience and respect. Therapy isn’t a one-size-fits-all process, so I adjust my approach to fit your needs. By blending various therapeutic frameworks, I help you explore the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, moving towards greater self-understanding and change. My down-to-earth style emphasizes collaboration, safety, and a touch of humor as we work together to navigate challenges and build resilience.
I am a LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker) in Massachusetts and an LCSW in Michigan with 30+ years of professional experience. I have experience in helping clients of varying ages with stress, anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, motivation, self esteem, business coaching and confidence. I work with clients ages 13-90. I am a firm believer in active participation with my clients that fit's their communication and learning style.
I am also uniquely qualified, as a former executive and non profit leader, to coach, support and empower leaders in all industries by providing a personalized approach designed to enhance leadership skills, improve performance, and achieve professional goals.
Taking the first step to seeking a joyful and stress-free life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process. Reach out and schedule time to meet with me. I'm looking forward to meeting you.

Denise is the type of person/therapist who makes you feel comfortable to heal. I often find myself saying to her, “…that’s what you were saying!” Or “…you knew that, didn’t you” because she makes you feel safe to explore your needs in your own way. She has patiently guided me to find answers in my own way and time, and that’s not easy since my way means I have to experience things so many times in order to really let them sink in. I love that I can laugh about this with her. I always preached about therapy but never truly thought I’d be able to do this work with someone. I’ve never been so confident that I’ll be able to fully heal than currently, with Denise by my side.

Denise is very kind and helpful. When we first met, it took a bit of adjusting for me to get used to video meetings, however, it has been fairly good. She is very respectful and kind and lets me talk about whatever is on my mind. She's very good at keeping track of the people in my life, and asks for clarification when I say something confusing. This is the kind of relationship someone should have with their therapist. She's always presenting and/or looking for ways to help me. She keeps things professional.

At first I was very skeptical. I’ve never been to therapy before. Immediately upon talking to her I realized how wrong I was. She is wonderful. She is comfortable. She is thoughtful. She is insightfull. She is everything I never knew I needed.
