Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Dr. Denise Horton. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Dr. Horton is a consummate professional. Thoughtful, supportive, and extremely knowledgeable. Her expertise and guidance have allowed me to grow and change in a healthy and safe environment. I strongly recommend trying therapy if you think you might need it. I would always recommend it to other people but refused to get help for myself. Once I started having panic attacks, I realized that I needed help. I tried betterhelp even though I have decent medical insurance, we know what a privilege that is in the US. It would have come out the same costs and the fact that I could have the sessions remotely, and still communicate via electronic journals, and direct messages was another factor in my decision. I feel extremely lucky that Dr Horton was the first therapist I was matched with. I know other people that have tried this app and struggled to find the right person. It just takes a little time and effort, it's worth it. I've had friends and family, as well as close coworkers, comment on how my demeanor has improved. The way I communicate with my loved ones and close friends has improved drastically. It wasn't an overnight process. But I was dedicated to making a change to have the life that I deserve; to be healthy, happy, loved, and loving.

I worked with Denise over a period of about 16 months. This was my first therapy experience and I feel like she was very patient and polite with getting me to open up so we could really dig into the challenges I wanted to address. I greatly appreciated her down to earth, caring approach. We built great rapport during our time working together and she provided tactical actions to implement in my life to help me achieve the goals I set when starting therapy. I would highly recommend her!

Dr Horton comments are both kind and appropriate. Her use of worksheets and journaling are very helpful . For a first time user with lots to unpack she is patient and thorough.
