About me

Greetings. I want to congratulate you on taking the first step towards recovery. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas. I am also a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC), with certifications in Mental Health Teletherapy (CTMH), and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP).
Every journey needs a guide. On your journey to recovery, I walk with you to help guide you to a better understanding of where you have been and where you want to go. I believe in the therapeutic relationship and the power of that relationship can help affect change. While I approach counseling from a wide array of approaches, such as humanistic, psychodynamic, and cognitive-behavioral, my approach is tailored to what you need and what will serve you the best.
I believe that effective change and effective therapy takes time. It takes a willingness to explore the past, consider the present, and change the future for the better. You have taken the first step on that path to a better future and I commend you on that bold action. I am ready to work with you and walk the path with you. I wish you a happy and healthy recovery.

Dennis is a great man, and I appreciate him helping me process that stuff that I cannot process with anyone else.

Dennis is a totally non-judgmental person. I feel I can share anything with him. He remembers my primary concerns over months of therapy and doesn't have to be reminded of most of the details I've shared with him (a problem I've had with other therapists that really kind of ruins the experience). He provides me with firm action plans in terms of tracking my mental distortions and helps me to watch my mind to make sure it isn't pulling any tricks.

Cautiously opening up more. He has given space for that.
