Dhana Clarkson, LMHC
About me
It takes courage to reach out for support, this is the second phase of your process; the first is the acknowledgement that you need support and making the decision to move forward. I have been a professional counselor for over 15 years. My approach to helping others is positive, encouraging, solution focused, problem solving and crafted to meet the individual client need. The value and benefit of engaging in a trusting, confidential and respectful helping relationship has the potential to meet, and help you overcome, many of your needs.
Different individuals need different things. Using skills, training, and personal creativity, I blend different elements from various psychotherapies to craft a personalized approach that best fits your needs.
I believe the whole person must be addressed and will consider how your health might be impacting your mood. Aside from being a counselor I am a Christian and am available to discuss your presenting issues from a faith perspective. I look forward to hearing from you!

Dhana Clarkson is everything I would want a therapist to be. She listens and always seems to understand exactly what I mean. She’s reassuring but also growth minded. I have learned a lot from her in three sessions.

Dhana listened to me at a time I felt incapacitated by life's struggles. Her feedback was gentle, positive and helpful. Having the opportunity to video with Dhana helped me sort through the challenges I was facing, and helped me see what could be changed and improved. After our sessions, my outlook on things improved, enough that the weight of the world so-to-speak, felt like a distant memory. It was very beneficial to interact with Dhana. I recommend her highly.

Dhana is a life saver. She is gentle, professional, but also strict when need be. I highly recommend her.

Besides the genuine care and effort Dhana puts into our counselling, she was able to identify a very effective system/approach to conquer my issues and goals. They weren’t how I expected (in my lack of experience with therapy), but turns out to be simpler yet highly effective! I am very pleased with our professional relationship.

Dhana gets it, and she does a wonderful job of making me feel like I'm not alone, and that I can totally do the things I set my mind to!
