About me

Hello, my name is Diana Lingren and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 35 years of clinical experience working with children and families in group, individual, and family therapy. I have focused on the areas of trauma/abuse, depression, PTSD, anxiety, substance abuse, dysfunctional families, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Attachment, Traumatic Brain Injury, and Severely Emotionally Disturbed children. Also, I have been a Registered Play Therapist for 24 years and have been trained in EMDR.

My therapeutic philosophy begins with the belief that all people strive for healing and wholeness. We each have a place of inner wisdom that can guide us toward the healing we need. My job is to help you learn to listen to your inner wisdom and find that path. We will create a safe place where you can explore the experiences and emotions needed to move you forward. When working with you, I will bring a strengths-based approach that encompasses both the mind and body. I may use Mindfulness, Creative Arts, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and CBT techniques to help you discover your strengths, increase your awareness, and maintain your progress. I will go with you on this journey to find the answers within you. There is a reason you have come here. You are ready!

She is great. She listens closes and provides a lot of validation. She respects the client, and does not push past boundaries or question the client's statements. She has great insight and a lot of advice.

She is supportive and clear with her help and offers skills that are applicable to my situation. She will challenge dysfunctional thinking patters but always suggests a way to work forward.

During my first session with Diana, she was very polite and understanding of my issues and made sure to prioritize the meeting in a way that every topic was discussed in a timely manner and that every issue got attention. She was also very good with prioritizing which issues needed the most attention and making them the first discussed in the meeting.
