About Me

**Please note- I am available Thursday and Sunday evenings with some fluctuating weeknight availabilty for live chat appointments only at this time. If you are looking for phone/video sessions please chose the "Switch Counselor" option at this time. ***

I am a Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience providing therapy to individuals, families, and groups. I received my Master’s degree in Social Work from Fordham University in 2001. I have extensive training and experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and aging/ end of life issues. I believe that people are capable of change and healing no matter what stage of life they are in. I believe in helping people find their starting point and working towards goals in order to feel better and achieve success. I take a non-judgmental and empathic approach and utilize solution-focused strategies to help guide you on your personal path to wellness. I employ mindfulness and relaxation techniques to help ease the bumps in the road on your journey. My approach is client specific as there is no "one size fits all" approach. The key to finding the best approach for each individual client is building a strong therapeutic rapport that results in a collaborative relationship.
