Dorothy Ray, LPC, LCMHC
About me
As a licensed professional counselor, I desire to help people connect to their thoughts and emotions and to educate them on how their thoughts and feelings affect behavior reactions in these situations.
I offer various treatment modalities with a primary focus in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy examines the idea that our thoughts cause our feelings and behaviors, not external things, like people, situations, and events. The benefit of this treatment focus is to help individuals understand they can change the way they react, respond, and behave, even if the situation does not change.
My goal is to empower individuals to realize their self-worth, challenge their thinking, and to uplift their hearts, minds, and spirits. My hope is when people feel empowered; they will make better decisions and improve the overall quality of their life.
