About me

I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in Texas, with a masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University: Post and a bachelors in Psychology from The University of Georgia. Since the beginning of my undergraduate studies, I have been fervently expanding my knowledge and understanding of psychological wellness and developing the clinical skills needed to help others find healing for themselves.

I have had the opportunity to gain experience working in many settings across the field, including crisis services, residential treatment, student counseling, community mental health and private practice settings with individuals, families, and groups experiencing a diverse range of challenges. I am a Trauma-Informed Care practitioner, with training in EMDR, DBT, TF-CBT and Trauma Informed Yoga and in this work I have routinely led trainings and seminars for colleagues and community partners on LGBTQ+ inclusive practices, trauma-informed approaches and new developments in neuroscience that support integrative therapies.

I bring a holistic, culturally informed and integrative approach to my counseling and strive to build a space of deep collaboration, trust and safety. In that space, my hope is that clients may build connections that uncover the tools, skills, and support they need to thrive. This may include modalities from evidence based practices such as EMDR, DBT, ACT, somatic experiencing, mindfulness and polyvagal theories along with other systems of knowledge from beyond the Western framework. Each client and I work together to develop a plan with the strategies and exercises that are the right fit for their personality and needs. Ultimately, we strive to find a path that strengthens and stretches our sense of curiosity, creativity and community while deepening our connection to ourselves, to others, and to our own understanding of purpose and spirituality.
