About me

Hello. My name is Edna Sanders

PLEASE NOTE: I'm currently available in the evenings Monday through Friday; and mornings/evenings on Saturday.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Indiana with over 9 years of experience as a psychotherapist. I have worked with clients with issues related to depression, anxiety, trauma, parenting, and co-morbidities (management of mental and physical illnesses).

I also provide therapy for individuals experiencing racism and racial trauma.

My counseling style is warm, empathetic, and client-centered. I believe in treating each individual with respect and dignity but most importantly I am compassionate and sensitive to the needs of others. I listen well to make sure I understand what your needs are and then work with you to make sure the expected outcomes are achieved.

You’ve taken a big leap in seeking the help you need. This takes a lot of strength and courage toward a life of self-empowerment. I would love the opportunity to guide and provide you with the support you need.

I look forward to working with you.

Edna is very understanding and made me feel so much better about myself. She challenged me and was always honest with me. Loved the assignments she would send that help with self worth, and methods for anxiety

Working with Edna has truly been a blessing. I came in unsure of myself and struggling to function due to lots of anxiety and a lack of self-confidence. Through her guidance, careful listening and insight, I have been able to overcome my hurdles and deal with my anxiety in a much healthier way. The lessons she has worked with me on have completely changed how I feel about myself and how I react in various situations. I am happier now than I ever have been, and I owe that to Edna making a safe, helpful environment where she helped me learn and grow. Thank you, Edna!!!

Working with Edna has been extremely helpful. She has been thoughtful and deliberate in assessing my concerns, and is eager to ensure that this is done in a collaborative manner. In addition to this, Edna is intuitive, and asks evocative questions that have helped shape my perspective of various things that I currently have going on. In sum, I have made some great improvements in working with Edna (in a relatively short time frame), and look forward to continued improvements as I remain working with her.
