About me

I have been collaborating with clients for over 20 years to discover their unique purpose. My clients and I have worked to bring about the emergence of new strengths and a sense of resiliency. Together my clients have learned how to cultivate insight, lean into and overcome the influences of their histories, dissolve personal and professional challenges causing distress, and discover new behaviors that are holistically healing and motivating.

I am passionate about helping people discover their strengths and providing the education and guidance needed to design "cognitive constructs" on the path to "healthy habits of mind," leading to an enriching life.

My counseling style is collaborative and sensitive to the learning style and pace of each client. I utilize the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) model (which is different from the psychodynamic model). Additionally, I provide an orientation to Seven Dimensions of Transformational Living (7-DTL) for those interested. Overall, our work together will be a synthesis of an integrative and holistic approach that has been enriching for many to enhance the quality of life. With a stepwise and compassionate coaching approach, eager clients learn new insights and skills while designing an effective strategy to attain their most essential and life-affirming goals.

Are you ready for transformational living? If so, I invite you to give the possibilities some thoughtful consideration and take the next step on your journey, remembering that each "microchange leads to substantive change."

Warmly - Dr. D.
