In addition, I am qualified in Trauma informed counselling with Children and Young people, an MA in Infant Mental Health, accredited 3 step process (Rewind) practitioner for birth trauma and an accredited Video Interactive Guidance (VIG) practitioner. My experience includes over 30 years working with children and families in the community and voluntary sector and 13 years as a counsellor in charities. I currently work as a counsellor in a Parent mental health charity and I’m passionate for ensuring all families get the best start.

Mental health and wellbeing will ebb and flow throughout our life from childhood to adulthood. My work includes adults, children and teenagers, helping to navigate through life’s challenges in a safe, non judgmental space. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, trauma and abuse, coping with grief and loss, & parenting issues. My special interest is in antenatal/postnatal, birth trauma, bonding/attachment, infant mental health, parenting, children and teenagers.

I understand that it can be daunting when choosing a counsellor to support your mental health or that of your child or teenager and it is important to find the right fit for you. I provide a tailored approach to each individuals needs, helping you to set the pace for whatever you would like to work on together. I offer a safe, non-judgmental environment in which to build a therapeutic relationship with you through mutual respect and compassion maximising the effectiveness of our time together.

Elizabeth Davis is a very responsive and understanding person...I do not connect with many people and have found therapy hard to access but she has made it more comfortable and less daunting for me.

Have really enjoyed speaking with Elizabeth and learning about how to process what I’m currently going through as a new mum. I feel heard and validated, which I didn’t feel going through the NHS.
