About me

When our emotions control too much of our lives we can feel powerless and desperate, and it can be difficult to achieve our ideal life or even improve our situation. I aim to give a safe and welcoming space for individuals to grow awareness and skills to better manage emotions, take back control of their lives, and reach their goals. I work with clients who have various concerns such as feeling overwhelmed by stress, depression, anxiety, or more challenging issues they wish to address.

I enjoy working with clients with a variety of issues. Also, as a former police officer, I have an understanding of what first responders experience in their day-to-day lives both on the job and personally, enhancing my support of Fire, EMS, Police, Dispatchers, and the Military. I also work with clients having acute or chronic thoughts of suicide and self-harm behavior, creating workable safety plans.

I understand clients' struggles against internal and external challenges can lead to clients losing belief in their ability to cope or make positive changes in their lives.

I have a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Criminology from the University of Missouri- St. Louis. I completed my education with a Master's in Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis.

Through compassion, connection, and practical skills training from ACT, CBT, Brief Solutions Focused Therapy, and DBT I work with clients to create lives that fulfill their values.
