About me

Welcome, I am a mental health counselor licensed in Florida and have a doctorate in organizational leadership. Over the past 20 years, I have worked with clients dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, career challenges, and parenting problems. My career has given me the opportunity to provide one-on-one counselings, teach masters level interns as an adjunct professor, and lead nonprofit organizations. The breath and depth of my experience has allowed me to hone my skills and see clients make incredible life changes!

I utilize a person-centered approach to counseling which seeks to empower and motivate the client in the therapeutic process. The philosophy behind this approach is the belief that human beings strive for and have the capacity to fulfill their own potential. During our sessions, I will be there to listen to your concerns and encourage and support your self-discovery.

My personal and professional goals can be summed up with a line from Emerson's poem on success...to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived; this is to have succeeded.

I look forward to helping you breathe easier!

Dr. Wynter is a fantastic psychotherapist. She has a very positive grounded attitude she is relatable yet she doesn’t judge all of my weirdness. You can tell she practices what she preaches. She’s a Successful person that isn’t afraid to share her faults in order to normalise a behaviour in a clients mind. She’s helped me a lot!

Dr. Wynter has been amazing! I set up my BetterHelp account around the time the Pandemic started and she taught me new ways to communicate, work around my stressors, and feel more confident in my abilities.
When we had our first live session, I was so excited because she was so confident and basically said that to work through what I was looking at, I’d have to be willing to put in the work which I appreciated!
I’m comfortable communicating with my fiancé as well as others where I would have previously just shut down or decided not to push a topic. I’m confident in what I’m aware of in regard to my boundaries and am able to use those in my daily life where I would have just stayed quiet previously and more.

Dr. Wynter was so helpful in assisting me with working through all the stuff I was carrying around. We tackled mostly childhood, relationships, and anxiety. I feel like I am in a very healthy and safe space compared to how I was feeling before I started therapy. I started very anxious, and went through some depression. I can't say enough good things about her! She listens, is attentive and knows when to give advice as needed or just when to allow me to talk. I feel like I am well equipped to handle the next stage of life with the tools Ive learned in therapy and with Dr. Wynter.
