About me

I am a qualified psychologist and psychotherapist with interests and experience in helping clients to adjust to major life changes and coping with addiction/substance use and misuse. I also have experience and interests in supporting clients who have been affected by trauma and abuse and coping with stress, depression and anxiety.

I am a therapist who from my personal and professional experience is able to apply psychological knowledge from approaches such as Humanistic, Cognitive Behavioural and Psychodynamic while integrating this with my non-judgemental, person centred counselling style. I work in a fully person centred way, ensuring therapy is tailored and relevant to your specific needs, while also understanding that therapy works best when the client leads the way.

Making the decision to seek therapy takes courage and is a step by step process, you have already taken the biggest step to be reading this! I look forward to supporting you in taking many more steps towards reaching your full potential!

Ellie is great at helping you unravel what it is that you need to get off your chest, so to speak, and subsequently listening and offering sound advice where needed.
I hadn't spoken to a therapist for nearly two decades, and Ellie made me feel comfortable and safe enough to speak about very personal things right from the get go. I'm glad that I signed up to BetterHelp, and that I was matched with her!

Ellie really helped me understand my mental health and the things I need to do to look after myself and regain confidence. I would recommend her to anyone that has suffered a traumatic experience.
