About me

Hello,
Welcome and thank you for reaching out to my practice. I am a dedicated, bilingual professional (Spanish) who has been practicing psychotherapy for 14 years. I am originally from the central valley of California and I have worked with the severely mentally ill and dual-diagnosed patients in various settings across the state. I consider myself a practitioner and perpetual student of depth psychotherapy which is a branch of therapy that incorporates the entirety of the person, emotionally, physically and spiritually.
No matter which therapeutic approach I apply (Cognitive-Behavioral, Gestalt-Family Systems, Solution-Focused, and Expressive Arts [Humanistic]), I always make room for the spirituality of my patients to inform the healing process in therapy. I am currently accepting adults, children, adolescents, couples and families.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in social work, a master’s degree in counseling psychology from the University of San Francisco and have four years of doctorate training through Pacifica Graduate Institute in depth psychotherapy. I also hold an expressive arts certificate through John F. Kennedy University and I have extensive training as a domestic violence and batter counselor through the Marjorie Mason Center.

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Elsa Quintanilla. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

In the short time I've been working with Elsa, I find her to be bright and deep with a creative frame of reference. She is warm, is an astute listener and asks just the right questions. I feel very fortunate to have found her.

Elsa Quintanilla has been an amazing help to me mentally and emotionally. I was always hesitant to get a therapist or get some help again as my past experience with another therapist wasn’t great but once BetterHelp matched me with Elsa I knew right away that she was a perfect match for me. I felt right away a good connection with Elsa and felt comfortable in being able to share my troubles with her, her willingness to listening and giving great advice makes her a great therapist that I would recommend to many.
