About me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 12 years of therapeutic practice. I have extensive experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), motivation, self-esteem, low self-confidence, and depressive disorders. I work to provide clients a safe, affirming, and non-judgmental space for them to explore their identities, navigate societal pressures, and address mental health concerns, including those in the LGBTQI+ community. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion.

My knowledge and work with those struggling with eating disorders extends beyond the clinical setting. I possess a profound understanding of the cultural, societal, and psychological factors that contribute to disordered eating patterns and follow Health at Every Size (HAES) and Intuitive Eating (IE) beliefs and principles within my sessions.

My experience in treating OCD, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, confidence, and self-esteem issues is characterized by an empathetic and collaborative approach. I help clients understand the underlying causes of distress and develop effective coping strategies. With my guidance, clients gain the tools and resilience necessary to navigate life's challenges and cultivate lasting emotional well-being. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

I am passionate about destigmatizing mental health issues and actively contribute to advocacy and collaboration in the community. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support and empower you in that journey!

Amazing!!! I just began my therapy journey and I only wish I would’ve done it sooner. But if I did I may not have met Emily. I’m so excited to continue to work on me with her by my side. Who knew these moments together would make such a difference! Thank you Emily!!!!
