Emmett Shaffer, LPC
About me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia with over 15 years of experience working as a therapist, parenting expert, and coach. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, isolation, couples issues, and parenting challenges. I also helped many people who experienced work/life balance issues and multicultural concerns.
The foundation of my counseling style is based on trust and connection. I believe in listening respectfully and with compassion, and I do not believe in judging, blaming, or shaming. My therapeutic approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy so that you are seen, heard, and valued. Active listening allows me to tailor a treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. It takes courage, compassion, and connection to live a wholehearted life. It is a process, that in fact, I believe is a journey of a lifetime. It would be an honor to go on that journey with you.
I look forward to listening and connecting with you!
