About Me

My specialties include trauma, grief, and loss. In addition, I also deal with panic and anxiety disorders as well as addiction. I worked with at-risk youth for over a year at a residential treatment facility. I believe that our greatest place of pain can be our greatest place of purpose. I provide clients with the tools to not waste their pain, thereby enabling themselves to walk on purpose. I have a passion for those in mourning and a deep empathy for the bereaved. I also provide them with practical tools for their grief journey as well as modeling and explaining the role of self care. I normalize traumatic and grief reactions to promote a safe space for healing. My approach is trauma-informed from the intake to the final session.

I am a licensed professional counselor with three years of post graduate clinical experience. I am also a licensed chemical dependency counselor with two years of experience in the field of addiction. I hold the following certifications. I am a certified clinical services provider for ADHD, a certified dialectical behavior therapist, and a certified clinical anxiety treatment professional. I hold a Master of Divinity as well as a Master of Arts in Counseling. I am currently pursuing a Doctorate Degree in Professional Counseling with an emphasis on trauma, grief, and loss. In addition to being a counselor, I am also a pastor. I counsel with a pastor’s heart and a listening ear. I am also open to those who come from diverse backgrounds.
