I believe that clients have the ability to choose how to resolve their own problems and can make their own decisions with my assistance as a facilitator. We can't choose what happens to us, but we do get to chose how we respond. As a counselor, I hope to facilitate for my clients greater self-awareness through their life experiences that lead to increased confidence, self-esteem, and the capacity to effectively navigate the complex challenges of life.
Some clients need only a few counseling sessions to achieve these goals, while others may require more counseling.
My counseling practice is guided by Reality Theory. I believe that a client’s self-awareness and freedom of choice are keys to developing self direction and independence.
My counseling approach will include evaluating current behaviors, planning future action, and examining relationships. We will collaborate to provide you with methods to solve problems utilizing your own strengths.

I have had the pleasure of working with Erik for a brief period but can honestly say through his help and guidance I've seen significant improvements in my life. He's very thorough in trying to understand what causing the problems I bring to our sessions, and has provided tools for real change. He's genuine and compassionate and very relatable which creates a safe space to share my problems. Would definitely recommend him as a counselor to friends and family.
Excellent counselor. Methodical approach.
