Erin Riley

About Me

Hello! My name is Erin.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of New York. I have over three years of post-graduate experience working in the mental health field. I have worked with clients with various concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, sexuality concerns, drug/alcohol addiction, and with crisis issues. I also helped many people who have Intellectual Disabilities and their families. Lastly I have worked with clients who are on the Autism Spectrum.

My counseling style is warm, interactive, light, and motivated. I believe in treating every person with respect, compassion, and I always meet a person where they are at in order to work together towards goals. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, client-centered, solution-focused, mindfulness, and rational-emotive counseling. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

It takes courage to reach out and ask for help, even when you know that you can help yourself most days. Together, we can find the empowerment that can be difficult to reach sometimes!

I look forward to working with you!

Erin is excellent and always there to lend an "ear" :) This is my first counseling experience and I couldn't recommend it more! It's been really helpful to just be able to talk to someone about what's going on in my life and in my head and how to manage it all. Erin is the best!
