Dr. Faith Lamb-Parker, Psychologist
About me
I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 30 years experience working with adults who have a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, loneliness, professional and career, parenting, relationship and family, early childhood trauma and abuse. I believe that my own journey and professional experiences give me a breathe of knowledge and experience to provide support and caring to motivate change. I have worked with people of different races, ethnicities, ages, and genders with compassion and open communication as a therapist, counselor, mentor, and teacher. Although I am a trained Clinical Psychologist, I am opposed to labels and a medical model of treatment that focuses on deficits. I choose to work with your strengths and together uncover the issues that prevent you from experiencing the life you envision.
I use psychodynamic, developmental, and cognitive-behavioral approaches to understand and explore your strengths and concerns, and tailor our treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs and goals. I believe that we often develop ways of coping in childhood that are essential to our survival, but are sometimes the very ones that prevent us from moving forward in adulthood in the way we envision. I welcome the opportunity to work with you.
