Farrah M Hunt, LPC
About me
Hello and welcome! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas with over 10 years of experience helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, stress, burnout, life transitions, and concerns related to self-esteem and motivation.
My professional background includes conducting psychiatric assessments and crisis evaluations in emergency room settings, supporting individuals in acute psychiatric care, facilitating therapy groups, and providing outpatient counseling. These experiences have allowed me to work with people during some of their most difficult moments while helping them build the skills and insight needed for lasting growth and healing.
I have a special appreciation for high-functioning adults, helpers, and caregivers who spend so much time taking care of everyone else that they often neglect their own needs. Many of my clients are successful, responsible, and capable people who appear to have it all together on the outside, yet internally struggle with stress, anxiety, self-doubt, burnout, or feeling disconnected from themselves and others.
I believe therapy should feel like a collaborative partnership rather than a one-size-fits-all process. Every person brings a unique story, strengths, experiences, and challenges into the counseling space. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you feel safe enough to be honest, understood enough to feel seen, and empowered enough to create meaningful change.
My approach is warm, practical, and tailored to your individual needs. I integrate evidence-based techniques while recognizing that healing involves more than simply changing thoughts or behaviors. Together, we'll explore the patterns, experiences, relationships, and coping strategies that have shaped your life, while building tools that help you navigate the present with greater confidence and resilience.
You don't have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. Reaching out for support takes courage, and I'm honored whenever someone chooses to share their story with me. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, exhausted, or simply ready for something to change, I look forward to walking alongside you on your journey toward greater clarity, balance, and well-being.

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Farrah M Hunt. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
I have only met with Farrah a couple of times and she's already helped me greatly with multiple problems I have had. Has been a huge comfort having an unbiased person to talk to about my problems that can also help guide me to solutions. She is also very easy to open up to about anything and I would highly recommend her to anyone needing therapy.
