About me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 6 years of experience in counseling and 17 years of experience as an educator. I hold a Baccalaureate degree (BA) in Psychology from the University of Houston, and a Master’s degree (MA) in Psychology from the University of Houston – Clear Lake. I have successfully met the professional counseling standards established by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors. My formal education and professional experience have prepared me to counsel individuals, couples, families, and groups.

I approach counseling holistically utilizing person centered and cognitive behavior therapy methods. This holistic approach considers the entire person (mind, body, and spirit) to create long-lasting positive changes quickly and efficiently. My work has allowed me the opportunity to work with a diverse clientele in various life stages.

I have worked with clients regarding a wide range of concerns including grief and loss, challenges related to adoption, domestic/family violence, anger management, self-esteem, post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, borderline personality disorder, anxiety, and symptoms associated with trauma and abuse. I have also facilitated groups regarding goal setting, study skills, student motivation and achievement, self-control, and process groups. Through these groups, I have seen clients grow and discover their personal strengths and valuable life skills.

If you are seeking assistance to improve your life and wellness, together we can make positive changes in your life. I would love to help.
