I am a Marriage and Family Therapist licensed in California, working in the field since I received my Master’s degree in 2010. I worked for a private non-profit clinic with children (0-18) and their families for five years. I then worked for a high school district providing educationally related mental health services for four years. I have experience providing treatment for a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, grief, relational issues, parenting, trauma, abuse, and risk management. I have also spent the last three years teaching as an adjunct lecturer in undergraduate and graduate psychology programs at a California State University. The desire for human connection and abnormal psychology have fascinated me since I was a teenager, which resulted in my choice to become a therapist. Each work environment has provided me with knowledge and experience, but also with the honor of being present for clients at their most vulnerable and brave moments.
I like to create a sense of safety for clients and draw from a person-centered approach in sessions. This means that I will remain curious about your experience and facilitate discussion which will lead you to discover that you have always held the key to unlock solutions. I also utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems approach, and Solution Focused Therapy to guide treatment. Every therapist is different. I tend to be somewhat laid back, as I believe clients are the experts on their lives and I want you to know the hour is yours. We will work together as a team to collaborate on treatment goals, addressing challenges, and resolving issues.
I believe everyone has mental health. The severity and intensity it needs attention varies throughout the life span, just like most things. It takes courage to ask for help and I feel privileged to be in the position to provide you with support and guidance as you work towards feeling like the best version of yourself.
I look forward to working with you!

I am able just to talk, however, somehow she includes important and then I see and understand myself more clearly.
There are also problems. Sort of things I don’t understand or insights, my counselor, always finishes that skill/insight we have been discussing until I understand. She finds that out by my comments.
Felicia is an incredible resource and I'm so grateful to have her in my life. I approached her at the beginning of the pandemic to help deal with rising anxiety, but almost immediately we identified other topics to focus on and equip me to handle new challenges as they arose. She is kind, thoughtful, patient, warm, laser-smart on timely industry and expert analysis. I initially saw Betterhelp.com as a short resource but now see it as an important part of my life forever!
Felicia is amazing.
Felicia has been truly wonderful. She goes above and beyond to make sure I feel supported and comfortable. She is an expert in her field and is always willing to research any topics I have interest in. She has sent me many helpful resources and goes to great lengths to find tactics that will be useful in my personal journey. I am very thankful to have found this resource and specifically such a great therapist!
