Fred Brewer, LCSW
About me
I have been providing therapy for over 7 years, and have been working in the mental and behavioral health field for 10 years. I graduated from New York University's Silver School of Social Work in 2010. While my career has allowed me to work with a wide variety of challenges, my expertise - as well as my passion - is of course more narrow. I love working with anxiety based disorders and mood disorders, and have been humbled to see the very rewarding results so many of my clients experience. There is so much anxiety rooted in today's culture as we all seek to have some measure of control in our lives and the lives of our loved ones. I thoroughly enjoy helping clients gain a deeper understanding of the functions of their anxiety or mood based disorders from a neurological standpoint. Being able to recognize that there's a reason for the anxiety, depression, etc., can help open doors for those who otherwise have come to ascribe their challenges to them being broken, or simply not good enough.
Additionally, I have expertise in working with adults with ADD/ADHD, struggles with motivation, self esteem and lacking purpose, as well as persons who struggle in social connections. I'd love to work hand in hand with you to break through those kinds of barriers and see that the life you want can be your reality.
