Gabriel Vallejo, LPC
About me
Hello, I would like to first thank you for choosing me to help you on your life’s journey that may have become a crossroads, or simply you need to examine something in your life to seek out answers or a matter of truth. My approach to therapy is very integrative, but primarily I will start with client centered and cognitive-behavioral therapeutic approaches. I use various modes to guide clients in solving problems, overcoming obstacles and develop positive coping and reframing strategies to meet the client at where they are at.
I am originally from San Antonio, TX area, earned my Master of Counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2004. I received my License of Professional Counseling in 2004 and full licensure in 2006. For the past several years I have worked in government programming assisting military and Native American families in addressing a myriad of issues varying from separation, communication, life issues, DV issues, loneliness and abuse. I have worked in the Behavioral Health field since 1996 and have had a multitude of experiences with couples, families, individuals, and children. I have worked in various settings (I.E., community, clinic, hospital & home). I have additional experience in issues of military lifestyle, domestic violence issues and trauma. I always try to move my clients to see a positive view of things rather than what may seem very negative. Outside of my work as a therapist, I enjoy time with family, time with my dog, reading, and listening to music.
I look forward to working with you, as I know it must have been a big step to reach out and try to find solutions to your life’s problems. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to try and guide you through the briar patch of life’s obstacles.

Gabe listens, and has creative ways to approach different topics that I’ve been sweeping under the rug, such as grief and loss. His vast experience shows in his work. I plan to continue weekly therapy, as I feel that it is helping me immensely.
