About me

Hi! My name is Gary Odom, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California with over 10 years of experience working as a mental health clinician and case manager. I have supported individuals with lived experiences across a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, psychosis, substance use and addiction, relational/social issues, parental issues, sudden life adjustments, financial and family stressors.

Because we all lead unique lives with equally unique experiences, I often clarify with those I work with that I am not an "expert" of their lives. Rather, my role is to gain the individuals' perspective so that I can genuinely and empathetically be a source of support. I am the co-pilot while you are the captain. While my counseling style is very fluid and adapatable, the core of my approach is very much rooted in person-centered philosophies.
