About me

I am a clinical mental health counselor licensed in Florida and Hawaii with seven years of experience. Counseling is my second career path, as I am also a licensed pharmacist with over 28 years of experience. I have worked with many clients with a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, OCD, and ADHD. I have also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.

My counseling style is to work as a team with my clients to figure out what works best for them. I believe in treating all individuals from all walks of life with respect and compassion. My theoretical approach combines cognitive-behavioral therapy, reality therapy, brief solution-focused therapy, career/vocational counseling, and mindfulness. I will personalize our sessions and your therapeutic treatment plan to meet your unique needs and goals.

It takes courage and strength to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!

Dr. Branson has been an incredible therapist to work with through BetterHelp. She’s straightforward and honest in a way that’s both refreshing and deeply helpful. Her approach feels less like traditional therapy and more like having a life coach who genuinely wants to see you grow. She has a gift for breaking down complex emotions and situations into something simple and clear, helping me get to the real core of what’s going on. I’ve learned so much from our sessions and always walk away feeling lighter and more self-aware. I truly look forward to every session with her and am so grateful for the positive impact she’s had on my life.

Dr. Branson is an excellent therapist. She is a compassionate listener and always offers me great coping strategies to help me. She is very skilled at pinpointing exactly what issues I am dealing with and gets right to the point of offering timely and effective advice. My life has literally changed for the better since working with her for the past few years.

I have tried video counselling in the past and I have not generally found that other therapists connected very well over video. I have found that Gayle has been very effective at projecting her personality through the screen. I am getting much more benefit from video counselling with Gayle than with any other therapist before. She is also very effective at redirecting the conversation back to the most important priorities. Her gentle yet firm approach is also helping me to remember her recommendations throughout the week. I think sometimes, "What would Gayle say about this?" or "Gayle would suggest that I...".
