Georgina Taylor
About me
Dear prospective client,
Hello and a warm welcome to my page!
I am an Accredited Therapist with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society. I have a BA (hons) degree in Counselling, Coaching and Mentoring and a Level 4 Diploma in Counselling Practice.
I want to break down barriers and help people to realize that you can do what you want to do in life no matter what other people’s views are about it. I want to help my clients feel free from other people's expectations of them - be in touch with themselves and what they want from their life. I connect with people of all age groups on different levels. This is what I find so incredibly powerful about therapy. It’s a process of bringing two people together therapeutically (human to human) to help and inspire growth within the client so that they can become the best version of themselves and own who they are, stepping into their life purpose and leaving behind self-limiting beliefs - discovering more and more about what is uniquely right for them.
I am a qualified Integrative Therapist from the UK which means my approach is flexible and I will cater to your needs. I believe that every human being is unique, therefore, an individualistic approach is so important when supporting you with your mental health.
I have experience of helping people in a psychiatric hospital, on the crisis line for the Samaritans and I have worked with clients who have experienced sexual violence through a police funded project. Other than that, I have also worked with a range of different clients with different needs. I always see each client as another human being just as I am and treat them in a non-judgmental and supportive way.
My aim is to create a warm and inclusive environment which promotes growth and a strong therapeutic relationship. I realize the positive impact that therapy could have on you, the power of empathy and just being with you and listening to you whilst you have the courage to share your vulnerabilities and difficulties with me. I believe in the power of therapy, the power of the therapeutic relationship and the power that you hold within you. I want to bring that power to the forefront so that you can be the best version of yourself and better your quality of life.
I have a ‘come as you are’ attitude to therapy. My explanation of this is that whoever you are and whatever you have been through I will always respect you for you and try to help you in the best way that I can. Intuitively I will listen to the things that you don’t say as sometimes the things we don’t say can be just as important as the things that we do. I will build the trusting therapeutic relationship with you then sensitively challenge you to encourage and inspire positive change. All at your own pace and all in your own time. You know yourself best and I am there to facilitate you to improve your well-being by providing you with a safe space to express yourself in so that the answers within you can be recognized in order to take action.
Life is precious and so is your mental health. There is no health without mental health. So, let us work together to find peace and unlock your potential. From one perfectly flawed human being to another, thank you for visiting my page. I know it takes courage to even think about reaching out for help. I am happy to answer any questions you have and I would be honoured to share your therapeutic journey with you. Lastly, please ‘come as you are’ – there will be no judgement from me.
Yours faithfully,
Georgie
