Gillian Burnett, BACP
About me
I am person-centred, trauma-informed counsellor working in the United Kingdom with both adults and children. I offer online sessions helping clients in a number of different areas including but not limited to trauma, anxiety, abuse, bereavement, loss, self esteem issues and the impact of any other significant life events. I offer a safe, therapeutic, confidential space for you to talk about concerns or issues in your life. My role is to guide you through the counselling process without judgement. I will not tell you what to do unless the session involves practical advice which you specifically ask for and which I can offer. The process requires your commitment and honesty both with yourself and with me, as your therapist. For my part, I have a genuine therapeutic intent, offering commitment, honesty and the utmost respect for you as an individual. By engaging in therapy you are taking the first courageous steps to resolving the issues you are trying to work through. I consider it a privilege to be part of your journey.

From the first message to the first session Gillian has been extremely helpful and insightful. Very easy to talk to and understanding. I’ve been with mental health issues for over 15 years and never been able to go more than one session with anybody, I just booked my 3rd session with Gillian I think that says it all
