About Me

My name is Dr. Gloria Cruice. I have been a counselor and psychotherapist for over forty years. I recently re-emerged from a brief retirement and I am eager to return to working with individuals and couples who want to gain a better understanding of themselves and their relationships with others. I have an M.A. in marriage counseling from the University of Detroit and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Detroit Mercy. I am currently licensed as a marital and family therapist in Michigan.

I have always admired my clients’ courage and openness as they invite me into their worlds and I believe that counseling can be life changing for you. My approach is client-centered, collaborative and nonjudgmental, striving to identify your wants and needs while appreciating the unique ways that you have navigated the ups and downs of everyday life. In our work together, I will commit to assisting you in finding avenues for reaching your goals and becoming the best YOU you can be. Other possible areas of focus might be self esteem, confidence, job satisfaction, or problems with anxiety, unhappiness, anger, depression, trust and intimacy. I am also available for support and guidance for caregivers, especially loved ones who are caring for an elderly family member.
