I am an LCPC board-certified mental health therapist in Maryland and I am also licensed with the National Board of Certified Counselors (NCC). I am equally certified in Telehealth for mental health professionals. Furthermore, I'm certified to supervise LGPC professional looking for LCPC certification, and I’ve been in practice for the past 6 years. I graduated from Walden University in 2014 with an MSc in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and I’m presently a doctoral student in Counselor Education and Supervision (CES) at the Ph.D. ABD (All but Dissertation) level. Hopefully, I’d complete the program before the end of 2021.
As a mental health counseling professional, I worked in methadone clinics where I saw clients with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. Using the therapeutic community (TC) model, I also worked in the jail system at a male maximum-security correctional facility with clients incarcerated for drug-related crimes who were getting ready to be released. When I worked in an out-patient mental health clinic, I saw clients from all cultural backgrounds including those within the LGBTQ+ community, and my clients had all kinds of mental health disorders and illnesses including anxiety, depression, relationship, and blended family issues, OCD, ADHD, PTSD, as well as physical and emotional trauma. Presently, in my private practice, my clients include those in PRP programs.
Although I’ve worked with clients as young as 4 years and as old as 70 years, I prefer clients between the ages of 18 years and above. I do individual and group counseling and Christian counseling as well. As a professional translator (French-English; English-French), I can handle French-speaking clients. My counseling style is relaxed, fun-filled, and very interactive. I treat all my clients with respect, as I feel honored that they have chosen me to be their therapist. I am always open to hearing everything they have to say with a non-judgmental mind and nothing I hear surprises me.
Although my foundational theoretical orientation is person-centered, my approach is eclectic in nature as I integratively use CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy among other theories. I consider every client as unique with specific needs and even at cultural levels, I never believe in the “one treatment fits all” approach because clients have their own cultural uniqueness, even identical twins. I also believe that clients are imbued with the attributes they need to be the best expression of themselves.
Consequently, my role is always to bring out those strengths in them and encourage them to activate the hidden ones. Additionally, no matter what their mental health issues are, my ideal clients are those who are intentionally ready and determined to change for the better. Considering that I am an eternal learner and that I am always open to learning from the experiences of every client I meet, I see our exchanges during therapy sessions as mutually beneficial.
Since what I do is more of a calling, I assure you that I will always be here for you and together, we will overcome whatever it is that is making you feel less than who you are as I fully dedicate myself to helping you attain your treatment plan goals.

Is a spiritual leader and knows how to help!
I feel like talking to Ms. Grace is like talking to a wise girl friend. Very laid back and not judgemental.
I have had 2 sessions with Grace. Her approach to therapy is exactly what I was looking for. She has insights that are thought provoking and emotional. Her thoughts on life, love and relationships are exactly what I want to hear
Understanding and good at her job
Im very happy with Grace. She is very good at using a conversational style of therapy and provides worksheets to help me in between sessions.
Grace is wonderful.
Grace is a very engaged and encouraging counselor who is able to get to the root of the matter with comfort and ease for the other person. She respects boundaries, listens and does not push anything beyond what we are comfortable with. She was able to provide sound advice and counseling that answered questions and problems I had been dealing with for over 6 years and was not able to get to the root issue for.
Ms. Grace has made a tremendous impact and breakthrough in my life. Thank you for bringing me closer to God, restoring my relationship with Him and incorporating Bible study in our sessions. Thank you showing me ways to conquer my anxiety and how to handle family conflicts. Your teachings, methods, and advice will surely be applied for the rest of my life.
I strongly recommend Ms. Grace to anyone seeking counseling.
Very patience and wonderful
Great source of wisdom.
I’ve had 2 sessions so far with Ms. Grace and she is wonderful! I have completely shifted how I view situations that arise in my life and feel more confident than ever to be my best self! Thank you so much!
I am very pleased and have been greatly helped already by Grace!
Grace is amazing! She listens and also provides great tools and counseling to get through any problem! The best!
Grace Lewis has been extremely supportive as I have worked through a very stressful and anxiety producing period at work. She has helped with calming me down and she has also so helped with my feelings of depression due to my work situation. With her assistance I have come to some logical conclusions about how to cope with and stay strong during this entire period. I want to thank her for all that she has done to support me during this transition.
Above all else, Grace is passionate about helping other humans. I have felt very lost due to recent trauma, and Grace has consistently believed in me and supported me. She was a strong voice and an anchor for me so that I would not fade away when I desperately wanted to.
While I feel that I got what I needed from my BetterHelp counseling, I will always appreciate what Grace has done to help me, and to help me keep fighting in a time of great crisis.
Her energy and charisma are very rare and I am so thankful I got to work with her. I would highly recommend her to anyone that needs help finding their way.
Grace is a joy to have as my therapist. She is an active listener who validated what I am feeling, helps me understand what I am going through, and helps me plan to move forward to a more joyous life.
Grace has been nothing short of amazing. She is very honest and i believe that if one is also equally as honest then Grace is the perfect counselor for them. Conversely, Grace may be a shining light to those who are of the "unwilling," those who NEED someone who is direct and honest, someone who is equally and attentive and listening ear, this is Grace. She's great and everyone could use someone like Grace in their lives. Recommended for ALL!
I have met with Grace for two sessions and completed a few worksheets. I have every intention of continuing but I feel so much better already. Grace has a unique way of making me feel comfortable which leads to honest and therapeutic conversation. I am grateful and look forward to our sessions.
Grace is wonderful. She is professional and always on top of things. Grace has a way of looking at the things in life that helps me to simplify things and navigate through my own issues more clearly and confidently.
Very professional and truly cares about her clients. She tends to bring her own personal experiences into the chats which makes things feel more human and real rather than just textbook answers. She’s been very helpful and has truly helped me. Thank you Ms. Lewis
Grace is very kind and she take time to listen to me. Highly recommend
Grace is great!
She really made me feel listened to without judgement and gave me the right push and motivation to do the hard work. She knew exactly what to say and most importantly what I needed to hear!
I highly recommend her!
I was about to cancel my Betterhelp subscription because of a first "match" that was terrible, but decided to give it one more chance and pick my own therapist. I am so happy I got Grace. She is honest and she was able in a couple of seconds to create a safe space for me to express myself. I know look forward to my next sessions.
