Nathanael Schwarz earned a Ph.D. in clinical psychology and is a licensed psychologist who specializes in the treatment of moderate to severe emotion and behavior dysregulation ranging from suicidal and self-harm behaviors, depression and anxiety to defiance, aggression, ADHD related concerns and social skills difficulties. Dr. Schwarz has received extensive training providing evidence-based treatment including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy since 2017 at various levels of care (outpatient, intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization) with tweens, adolescents, and adults.
Dr. Schwarz provides clients with a safe space where they can be heard and seen without judgment. Dr. Schwarz helps clients to increase awareness of the nature of their concerns, identify causes that contribute to the presenting problems and provide strategies to resolve them or cope with them more effectively. These skills include mindfulness/awareness skills, skills to help tolerate difficult situations, regulate emotions and effectively build and maintain relationships and advocate for oneself effectively.
