My name is Hamidah Winston. I am a Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina with close to 20 years of experience.
I work with clients on a wide range of concerns including: anxiety, depression, relationship issues, parenting problems, and coping techniques. My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. While I often combine cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused techniques, my approach will be on an individual basis. As we progress we will find what works best for your therapeutic goals and I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

I have been trying to find a therapist who is a good fit for me on and off for years, and I am so so thankful to have found Hamidah! SHE IS AMAZING! She listens and hears everything I say and always says exactly what I need to hear! She helps me sort through my anxieties and thoughts and really get down to the core of them. She helps me create actionable steps to get me to achieve the things I want to achieve as well. She has made therapy something I look forward to every week, AND I am already seeing changes in my life within a month that I have been trying to achieve on my own for years to no avail. Hamidah is a wonderful therapist, she does a great job with identifying the core problems and thinking of ways to either redirect the thoughts or aid you in training yourself to fix the behaviors.
