About me

I am a fully qualified Counsellor with a Diploma of Higher Education (DipHE Couns.) in Counselling, from Middlesex University. I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), as well as an Accredited Registrant Member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society, MNCPS (Acc.).

I run a private practice, based in Guernsey, but I also work Online for those outside of Guernsey. I regularly attend courses for my continuing professional development (CPD) and work within the ethical bodies I am Registered with. For many years, I have worked with various charities based in Guernsey, the UK and Abroad. I work with clients from all walks of life, various ethnic backgrounds and those with a faith/spirituality and those with none.

My experience includes working with Individuals and Couples in areas (but not limited too) such as stress, anxiety, panic attacks, depression, relationship issues, grief and loss, trauma and abuse (past and current) including survivors of sexual abuse and rape, affecting both men and women.

I believe each person is unique with a unique story to tell and therefore, I aim to treat each person with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. In a non-judging space, you can share whatever concerns or worries you have, including the 'hidden and secret' parts of you that may feel shame or embarrassment.

I use an Integrative approach tailored to your unique needs and often draw on modalities such as, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, gestalt theory, psychodynamic theory, transactional analysis, inner child therapy, spiritual/religious Interventions (if appropriate) and creative work. When working with couples, I use a relational and systemic approach, as well as creative work if this helps. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support and empower you in that journey.

I look forward to working with you!

Hayley is a wonderful human being, who brings her expertise of listening and understanding of a situation. She is very adaptive to her patient's need and is flexible even if it means changes in agreed structured plan. Thank you Hayley for being a supportive Therapist.
