About Me

Hello. I know life can at times feel overwhelming and difficult to navigate on your own. I am so happy that you are taking the step to begin working through whatever concerns you may have. When we meet, I hope that you will find a safe place where we can explore these concerns and develop a plan that will have you living your best life.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 15 years of counseling experience. I have worked with individuals presenting with a wide range of concerns. I have extensive experience working with individuals with addiction and with their loved ones, with individuals who have experienced trauma, and with families in conflict. I have worked with individuals struggling with life transitions such as divorce, returning to the workforce and career change. I have counseled in mental health, addiction treatment, and criminal justice settings as well as my own private practice
My counseling philosophy is that YOU are the expert of your own life. My approach is integrative, incorporating different therapeutic techniques to make sure that your specific concern is addressed in the way most effective for you. Each person is unique and brings his or her own history making it impossible to utilize only one or two approaches to therapy. People respond differently to styles of counseling. Our work together will always be person (you)- centered and strength-based, because, again, I truly believe that you have what it takes to succeed. My role is to guide and support you in building the skills and confidence necessary to live your best life. I meet each client where you are and build on your strengths and resources. My style is not always “easy”, I will sometimes push you past your comfort zone, but I will always be empathetic and patient and put you first. Oftentimes, clients aren't aware of what is holding them back and keeping them stuck in unhealthy patterns and as a therapist, I can aid in identifying those things. Together, we can undo false belief systems and unhealthy habits. Seeking therapy is the first step in that process.
I look forward to meeting you and to begin working together!

Heather is extremely attentive and understanding. I have never had another therapist like her and I really appreciate our time together. I would recommend her to anyone.

This is the first time I've truly felt understood by a therapist. I feel like part of that is the varied levels of communication offered by the platform, but Heather has definitely learned how to utilize the platform to the fullest potential in providing meaningful care. I am extremely grateful to her.

Heather is wonderful and has helped me immediately from the first few sessions. It's been about a year since we first started talking and I have gained clarity in my situation and I'm able to use my strengths in every day struggles.

Though I haven’t been working with heather very long, she has helped me tremendously so far. She is so unbiased and understanding. I feel completely comfortable telling her anything. I really appreciate her approach to things and she really helps me to open up. I hope to undergo serious transformations with the help of heather!

Heather has made me feel safe and able to share issues that need to be worked out. Offered up different options for ways to begin changing my life one small step at a time. She is there for me any time of day in which I have reached out with a worry or current problem I needed guidance with. Love her!

Heather is a fantastic counselor. She never minimizes my concerns even when I think they are minimal. She is extremely patient and is just very easy to work with. She keeps you moving forward and does not let you fall back into your comfort zone. Great counselor. Would highly highly recommend.

Heather is incredibly understanding and welcoming. I was very nervous and skeptical about starting this, but she's been so gentle, thorough, and amazing at helping me through the intro process. It is such a relief to have someone who listens, knows exactly what to say, and can send me the perfect resources when I need them. I feel very comfortable with Heather as my therapist and I would recommend her to anyone else in a heartbeat.

She’s the best. I wouldn’t be on my journey to being the person I want to be without her.

Heather is a perfect match for what I am going through. I am so happy that she reaches out to me throughout the week. It really helps and that feels great. I have a crazy work schedule with lots of travel and being able to have sessions -- no matter where -- gives me the therapy I could never get with traditional counseling.
