About me

Hi, I have been a therapist since 2003 and before that I was a nurse for many years. I have a private practice and have worked with clients with a range of issues including, sexuality, mental health, relationships, gender, grieving, low self confidence, family issues, abuse and sexual abuse,

I offer a safe environment for my clients and will use many different counselling models including, person centred, CBT, Gestalt and others as well. I will treat you as an individual and work with you in a kind and compassionate manner and at the beginning I will answer any questions or doubts you may have.

Counselling sometimes is not easy and takes courage but it gives you a time to be kind to yourself and a time to breath. If you are ready to take that first step I will be here to support you and work with you in going forward.

I look forward to working with you.

I have only had one session to date, but in this session, Helen was accepting and compassionate to my needs. Patient and non judgemental. As a therapist myself, these are the essential traits I look for in a therapist. Thank you Helen x

She is very understanding and ,without being patronising. She understands my concerns and offers me ways to explore my issues that are new and professional, and arent just generic platitudes.

Helen has held me in a very supportive way, helping me to see through the cobwebs. I always feel a little closer to myself after meeting with her, which is such a relief. I appreciate her non-judgemental approach and, within a short space of time, she's understood the complex cultural lens through which I live my life. Highly recommend Helen.
