Hilary Mody, LCSW
About me
I have vast experience working with a wide range of clients. My speciality is relationships, whether it be strengthening them or moving forward post-relationship.
As a graduate of NYU’s School of Clinical Social Work, I specialize in psychoanalytic therapies which takes your past experiences (both negative and positive) and relates them to your present day behaviors and relationship patterns.
I encourage the use of self-reflection and self-examination. Recognizing recurring patterns can help you to see how you avoid distress or develop defense mechanisms to cope. This insight is the impetus to changing those patterns. My therapy style is laid back and client led. I believe in meeting you where you are with respect and compassion. My style is also eclectic, often incorporating aspects of various treatment approaches. I will encourage you to recognize your positive strengths and attributes in order to develop and incorporate them into your life.

Hilary has been amazing! Getting therapy was extremely new to me and almost a taboo growing up. I’m elated to have taken the leap to get into therapy and being matched with Hilary made it that much easier. Hilary is an A++ listener and able to explain what I am feeling in a way that I understand the how, when, why as well as techniques to keep moving forward. When I first joined I was going through multiple personal and financials hurdles. Without the help and guidance from Hilary I can honestly say I don’t know where I would be mentally if I didn’t have her support. All I have to say is… GET YOU A HILARY!

Very professional, easy to talk to, and accommodating . Up until meeting with her I was clueless about the path I should take with issues in my marriage. She has laid the groundwork for me with therapy and techniques to focus on healing myself and repairing damage in my marriage. My journey with her guidance has also identified issues from my childhood. She is very positive and straightforward, easy to work with.

Hilary is great! I didn't think therapy would help but it does a lot for me. Hilary is always on time for our meetings and very helpful given my situation. I always look forward to our meetings. I will continue seeing Hilary for as long as I can. Thank you Hilary!
