About me
Living in Vermont? I am a Vermont Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor with 13 years of professional work experience in a clinical practice. For those seeking support for mental health challenges (stress, anxiety, coping with addictions, motivation, self-esteem, confidence, depression, life changes, and more…), my approach offers non-judgmental active listening and feedback so you know you are being heard. I give space to share what you can about your struggles and goals. In addition to supportive problem-solving, we will identify strengths and passions so you can begin building your self-care skills. These skills can be empowering to make meaningful change in your life.
My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach is eclectic and combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic and rational-emotive therapy. I will meet you where you are.
I view therapy with most people as being short-term solution-focused therapy. I believe many people know or can learn the skills needed to take care of themselves. Everyone has bumps in the road of life and needs a little support to get through it.
I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started!
