my name is Hope. I am a licensed professional counselor that earned my degree from Roosevelt University in Chicago Illinois. I have been working with children, adolescents and adults for over 17 years and have a true passion for what I do. I approach things on a very individual level depending on the needs of the client and believe in creating a safe space for my clients to share their experiences and struggles in a way that allows for the best understanding and counseling approach that will work for that client. I like to describe my therapy as being an approach that feels safe and hopeful for each person that I work with. I use various therapy approaches depending on the situation and needs of the client. My nature is to be very open with the client and work toward the client's identified goals.
My areas of expertise include child and teen issues, parenting struggles, women's issues and life changes, anxiety and depression.
Please feel free to ask me any questions about my back ground or approach!
My office hours are Monday-Friday from 730AM-43 PM. These are the times that I am available for sessions and general correspondence. I do have a 24 hour cancellation policy that I ask all of my clients to respect. I am here to help and the time that is set aside for you is yours and not available to others.
Thank you for being here and I look forward to meeting you!
Additional areas of focus: Coping with life changes
Clinical approaches: Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), Mindfulness Therapy, Narrative Therapy

Hope is special to be and she forever has a special place in my heart. She is my first therapist and our journey lasted for a year and four months time almost. Hope is a professional yet approachable therapist. She gives you advice but inspire you to think. She is simply amazing.

Hope has taught me so much in the short amount of time I’ve been seeing her. She has helped me to see that what I believe to be my flaws can show a deeper meaning and by taking baby steps, I can become the person I want to be.

Seeing Hope for the last couple months has helped me immensely. I have been struggling a lot with grief and anxiety and she has helped me to process emotions and also work on mindfulness to stay more present. I can't wait to continue working with Hope.

I have just recently started counseling on line and I already think it's a godsend. I like that I can take as much time as I need, via the written communication, to explain myself, and I look forward to more face to face (via zoom) visits to hear my therrapists's comments on and reactions to my story.

Hope is amazing! As we’ve continued on in our patient-therapist relationship over these last few months, I’ve felt us both gain more of a sense of understanding in our interaction. In my previous experiences, no matter how promising a counselor started, it was usually only a matter of weeks of months before I always felt like we hit a wall or like they were grasping at techniques and generic psychobabble to try and find a way to “solve” me. Hope doesn’t try to “solve” me and she’s actually helping me unlearn some of the self-judgement I took on from previous therapists (one tried to tell me literally pretty much all of my issues would go away if I would just really tackle my time management). Hope has helped me work on replacing that negative self-talk and self-judgment with realistic, fair self-assessment and positive affirmations while slowly forming better habits for my life. She’s an excellent therapist with both a warm and knowledgeable vibe!
