About me

You may be someone who thinks deeply about yourself and still feels stuck. Perhaps you can describe the pattern, yet keep finding yourself back in it, overthinking, shutting down, people-pleasing, drifting, repeating the same relationship dynamics, or leaning on habits that help in the moment but cost later.

Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, capable, and harder on themselves than they let on. From the outside things may look manageable, but internally something can feel conflicted, tense, or quietly out of place. Therapy gives us a space to slow things down, understand what is driving the pattern, and begin building something steadier.

I am a UK-based integrative therapist and registered member of the BACP. My approach is person-centred and informed by Jungian psychology, Internal Family Systems, and psychodynamic thinking. In practice, that means I try to understand you in context rather than forcing you into a formula. We may look at long-standing beliefs, recurring emotional patterns, different parts of you, shame, identity, relationships, or the gap between what you know and what you can actually live.

I also work well with people who want to speak honestly about areas that can feel awkward, easy to minimise, or hard to explain to others, including gaming, technology use, relationships, online identity, motivation, weed or other coping habits, and the strange ways modern life can pull us away from ourselves. You do not need to tidy yourself up before bringing it here.

My style is collaborative, grounded, and thoughtful. I will not try to tell you who you are, and I will not rush you into change for the sake of feeling productive. At the same time, I do not believe insight alone is enough. If you are looking for therapy that goes beneath the surface while staying human and practical, we may work well together.

I am not the best fit for someone seeking a manualised, quick'fix', instructional approach or a diagnosis. I work best with people who are able to reflect, sit with complexity, and look beneath the surface. If that sounds like you, I would welcome the chance to work together and help you understand how to make better choices for yourself.

It has been around 6 months that I have been doing therapy with Issaka Zango and I have seen very important and concrete improvements in my life, my relationship with my partner, and my professional relationships. He is an empathtic therapist that listens carefully and understands me. He is also a very insightful therapist that has opened up new perspectives in me through his observations and interpretations. He is both knowledgable and highly motivated/invested in his job. I would definitely recommend him as a therapist.
