About Me

Hi there! Way to go on taking a beginning step to achieve one of your many goals in life.

My name is Ivy and I have worked with people my entire life. I found that as a child, I was able to meet people and understand where they came from in a way that not many people could. As an adult, I have been able to develop that into a career. There is always a story that begins with "when I was a child", and mine is no different. When I was a child, I was faced with many different problems and situations that I felt that no one in the world could understand. I tried many different things in an effort to get my own life on track without letting anyone else know that I was struggling. As you may or may not know, this is not always the best option. However, what this did was that it lead me down a path of being able to walk in the shoes of other people; to see things as they see things.

I have experience working with families who are involved in the child care system, both as foster parents and as clients involved in the system. I have experience with individuals who are questioning where they are in life and where they want to be. I have experience, helping people feel like people again. The way that I chose to work with individuals is that everyone is an individual and everyone lives their lives through a day to day schedule. I believe in checking in and allowing you to tell me what you need and what you want. What do you feel like you need today; what about yesterday. Can we plan for tomorrow? Do you need me to listen or do you need me to respond? Would it be helpful for a brainstorming partner or someone who can take all that emotional weight you have and take it off your back for a while?

My work is not based upon a single method of thinking or processing, but rather whatever combination you need. I believe that even if you don't believe in your own ability to help yourself right now, it is there, and together we can make a difference and a change that you can continue to use and implement long after we are no longer working together.

My counselor is excellent. We've been working together for a few months now and I've been extremely pleased with our progress. She is thoughtful, she understands what I'm trying to say, and she's been great with helping me identify and work towards my goals. I would absolutely recommend her to others, I've been very pleased with our time together.

Ivy is incredibly relatable, down to earth, and is a very helpful resource and sounding board for me. After two sessions, she's really helped me organize my thoughts and allowed me to talk out some stale energy that needed to be released. Very grateful to have been matched with her as my counselor.

She also knows how to really mess up ur day by telling u the truth and making u see the bigger picture. Out of 10 stars I’d give her 15. Thank you. You're my life line.

Ivy brings a great perspective to your conversations. And working with her is so much like visiting with a friend, and yet she asks all the right questions to really get you thinking about things. Her ability to neutralize concerns I have with actions or coming at something from another direction is very cool.

I am so impressed with this service and with my counselor, Ivy. I’ve been in and out of counseling for basically my entire life, so I know it’s a matchmaking process to find the kind of help that best suits my needs at that time. This resource is so accessible and flexible, so even though I have an unusual work schedule, I’ve had no problem getting help when I need it. And Ivy has really been a huge help— she’s very supportive and helped me clarify my therapy goals & achieve them. Would definitely recommend.
