About me

Hi there! Way to go on taking a beginning step to achieve one of your many goals in life.

My name is Ivy and I have worked with people my entire life. I found that as a child, I was able to meet people and understand where they came from in a way that not many people could. As an adult, I have been able to develop that into a career. There is always a story that begins with "when I was a child", and mine is no different. When I was a child, I was faced with many different problems and situations that I felt that no one in the world could understand. I tried many different things in an effort to get my own life on track without letting anyone else know that I was struggling. As you may or may not know, this is not always the best option. However, what this did was that it lead me down a path of being able to walk in the shoes of other people; to see things as they see things.

I have experience working with families who are involved in the child care system, both as foster parents and as clients involved in the system. I have experience with individuals who are questioning where they are in life and where they want to be. I have experience, helping people feel like people again. The way that I chose to work with individuals is that everyone is an individual and everyone lives their lives through a day to day schedule. I believe in checking in and allowing you to tell me what you need and what you want. What do you feel like you need today; what about yesterday. Can we plan for tomorrow? Do you need me to listen or do you need me to respond? Would it be helpful for a brainstorming partner or someone who can take all that emotional weight you have and take it off your back for a while?

My work is not based upon a single method of thinking or processing, but rather whatever combination you need. I believe that even if you don't believe in your own ability to help yourself right now, it is there, and together we can make a difference and a change that you can continue to use and implement long after we are no longer working together.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Ivy Villani. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Ivy has been absolutely awesome. She is the first therapist I have had in my life, and has exceeded all of my expectations thus far. In our first video call, she was able to pin point the main topics that caused me to seek out therapy and has been attentive with reaching out/communicating ever since. I originally had the goal to try out therapy/better help for a month to get a feel for it, and because of Ivy I have decided to stick with it. I am excited to continue my journey with her and I have already recommended a few of my siblings to better help.

Ivy is amazing. Very intuitive, great at helping me make connections and identify things I’m not realizing in what I’m saying. I feel no judgment from her no matter what I tell her and I think she really has my best interests in mind and really helps me process what I need to in a very comfortable and compassionate way! Very highly recommend her as a therapist!
