Jacklyn Rodriguez , LPC
About me
Hi! My name is Jacklyn Rodriguez. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas with 8 years of counseling experience and 15 years of experience working in the mental health field. I received my Master of Arts in Counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio. I’ve worked with youth and adults in different capacities, specifically, individuals challenged by depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress, impulsivity, general stress, parenting issues, and trauma.
I know taking this first step into therapy can feel overwhelming, scary, and nerve-wracking, and I want to assure you that it is absolutely normal to feel a range of emotions when jumping into this therapy journey. I take a client-centered approach with my clients and focus on building a relationship first before diving into the depths of what brings you here. I also work from a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy framework...essentially I believe our thoughts and perceptions pave a way for how we feel, and if we can challenge the way we think then we can learn to feel better. Easier said than done, I know! I’d love to help you feel empowered to take on life’s challenges while also learning to grow in self-love and compassion. ln a world full of obstacles, either through our relationships or within ourselves, it is important to not only find solutions but to explore the root of the problem and learn new skills to navigate through future challenges.
You don’t have to feel alone in these experiences. I can take this journey with you as you discover yourself in a new way to help you reach a place of self-acceptance and understanding. Your story is worth telling and you deserve to be seen and heard. I’m open to listening to your story, and I’m passionate about helping you find meaning in all that you’ve experienced. You have it within you to overcome life’s challenges and I’ll be here to provide you with support and a safe and trusting space.
At this time, I have availability on Monday thru Friday between the hours of 9am and 3pm. There is limited availability for evening sessions.

I enjoy that Jacklyn takes control of the conversation and makes me feel like I can continue the conversation. I’ve had a therapist who has sent me answers to where I felt like they closed the conversation and I had to write something completely new. I like that she goes deeper into what I’m saying and provides thoughts on what she thinks may me going on.

Always has been there for me and completely understands what I’m going through. She’s so brilliant and intelligent it’s insane. I’m very lucky to have her as my councilor.
