Jacqueline Litoff, LMHC
About me
I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I received my Masters Degree in Creative Arts Therapy Counseling at Hofstra University, where I came to learn multi-disciplinary approaches to ultimately help provide the most inclusive and eclectic interventions to meet my clients needs. I've worked in the treatment world where I've provided care to adults, coming of age individuals and adolescents struggling with mental health and substance abuse issues.
As every client I encounter comes with a unique story and tools to process and approach life, I specifically tailor my work to meet my clients where they are, utilizing a wide range of interventions to assist in their healing journey. This can be from art therapy, sandtray, and somatic methods- to CBT/DBT, motivational interviewing, Gestalt therapy and solution-focused strategies. I use a combination of these approaches and more to best support each and every person in the direction they seek, to new paths once not yet noticed.
My goal in working with you, is to first create an environment that is supportive and safe, allowing you the opportunity to prosper in self-exploration and growth. I always strive to expand ones current perspectives to enrich their overall experience of the life they live and the world around them. My passion lies in supporting the development of a greater sense of self, building personal insight, which will lead to a future filled with hope, prosperity, and action. Ultimately, taking the necessary steps towards a life filled with healing.
