About me

I am a licensed mental health counselor with qualified supervisor status in the state of Florida. I have over 10 years of clinical experience. My specialty has been working with those who have experienced trauma whether it be from childhood issues or more recent life events in adulthood. I also have expertise with a wider range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, grief/loss, life stress, and adjustment to life changes. Throughout my career, I have therapeutically walked alongside people from many diverse walks of life.

My counseling style is warm, down to earth, and engaging. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My approach combines aspects of Adlerian, cognitive-behavioral, trauma-focused, and rational-emotive counseling. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and am certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT). All of this means that together we would identify your main life obstacles and then create effective strategies to work towards your goals. I tailor treatment to best fit your unique personality and your specific needs.

I strongly believe that the therapeutic working relationship is essential for progress to be made. For this reason, I like to tell clients that I am never offended if someone feels like things are not "clicking.” You deserve a therapist that gets you and makes you feel safe and valued. I hope that I can do that for you. With that in mind, the time we work together is about you and what best fits your needs. My goal as a counselor is to walk beside you on your journey and to help guide you and challenge you in a healthy manner. I want to help you become the best you possible during this season of life.

It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to keep moving forward, I am here to support, encourage, and empower you on this journey.

I look forward to working with you!
