I’ve wanted to write a review for a long time, since shortly into the 3 years or so I’ve been having sessions with Jacquelyn. In those three years I never felt that I could do justice to her patience, approachability, wisdom, kindness and insight. So I’ve accepted that I may never do, and am writing this anyway: She’s truly a diamond in the rough. And I say this as a trans guy who did not know he was trans those three years ago: She’s been an incredible touchstone in my support network during one of the most important times in my life. Even when my ADHD or time changes bungle the schedule. I’ve had a lot of therapy in my life, and It’s hard to find someone that can even roll with that chaos/irregularity that comes with ADHD. I’m always grateful for her grace in that alone. (She’s also quite fun!) I’m going to end this before it becomes a rant, but I’d happily recommend Jacquelyn to anyone- especially people nervous about seeking counsel in the first place. You’ll be in good hands.

Jacki is the absolute best, it’s really as simple as that. She is encouraging, comforting, and a fantastic listener but she also empowers and gives me the tools to be a healthier me in every aspect of my life, not just when I’m in a session with her.

I really appreciate Jacquelyn’s unwavering support and encouragement. Her down to earth, authentic nature helped me to feel a bit safer opening up over time. She is very patient but also challenges me, and encourages me to challenge myself.
Thank you Jacquelyn

Meeting with Jacquelyn has been wonderfully helpful throughout the ups and downs of 2020 and she has been very helpful in guiding and encouraging me to better myself during this difficult time, during which I have also been recovering from substance abuse and a recent breakup. I am doing a lot better than I have in a good while and she has definitely been a big part of that! Thanks!

The last few months of 2020 have been extremely trying and difficult for me- job searching, family conflicts, personal life. Jacquelyn has been such an amazing help during this time. She is an amazing listener, understands cultural contexts, and provides wonderful advice and exercises on reframing. She’s helped me navigate many difficult situations and bouts of anxiety during the past four months.

Jacquelyn is such a wonderful person to talk to, she listens intently without interrupting and provides tailored and well thought out advice. She always ensures to highlight her availability between sessions and our sessions are always comfortable. I would highly recommend Jacquelyn with anyone seeking counselling regardless of previous experience.

Jacquelyn has been instrumental in helping get through a period when i felt very low and was unable to chart my way forward. After about 5 months of working through things with her, I have experienced significant progress and I feel I will always need to dial back in periodically with her on my personal life journey.
I have recommended her to a friend and will continue to do so at every chance I get.

She’s gentle in her approach and offers highly effective feedback and is perceptive in her observations. I find myself being delighted whenever it’s time for another session with her, and I hope she continues to be available for our sessions together.

Working with Jacquelyn has been absolutely amazing. I wasn't sure what to expect when I signed up for BetterHelp because I'd been having a hard time finding a therapist in my own city, but she has been a dream to work with. She is so kind and smart and patient. She genuinely listens to me and helps when I'm going through some heavy stress/anxiety. Some of my issues aren't super common but she has amazing advice. She is very empathetic while also being a wonderful supporter and motivator. She's the best!
