About Me
Hi and Welcome! Life can be extremely busy and trying at times, especially now with all of the sudden stressful changes in our lives, and we can feel as though we have too many roles to fill at once. This can create anxiety, depression, stress, and family issues. Having someone to help work through these difficulties with can be extremely beneficial. I have much experience with various populations and age groups and can help you to navigate some of life's challenges.
I have many years of experience providing in-home and office-based counseling services to children, adolescents, adults, and families who have needed assistance with child behavioral issues, parenting, family conflict, parent-child conflict, relationship issues, stress related to life transitions, self-injurious behaviors, depression, anxiety, infertility stress, and trauma. I currently own and run a company where myself and my clinicians provide in-home counseling services to high risk children and families.
I use a person-centered approach in treatment where I provide treatment "where you are currently at" and I let you lead where you need and want treatment to go. I use various evidence based techniques including cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused counseling.
My counseling style is warm, engaging, personable, and down-to-earth. I provide respect and sensitivity and we will identify your treatment goals together so that you can get the most out of our time together. It is an extremely brave step to seek help for any challenge that you are struggling with and I am happy that you are here!
I look forward to working with you!

Jaime is very helpful. And I'm thankful for her.
I really love being able to have Jaime because i feel she truly listens and cares about my feelings. I’ve voiced that it’s nice “having someone in my corner”, She makes that especially known when she doesn’t hear from me for awhile and still reaches out. I feel safe, and comfortable. I needed this.
I was really depressed a few months ago. While talking to Jamie, I was able to express my feelings to someone that listened, address past experiences, and set goals to improve my life and mental health. I'm feeling a lot better these days and still improving.
Due to scheduling we haven’t had a chance to speak in person yet. She has been prompt and highly effective in her responses to my messages. She seems to really read and react to what I’m saying. Makes me feel listened to.
Jamie is kind and wonderful. I would encourage you to be mindful of you time expectations.
Jaime Barilla is helping me through a difficult transitional period in my life. She checks in on me and I feel confident sharing anything I need to talk about with her. Not only does she listen, she even gives me instructional help and articles to read to better understand how I feel. Opening up is not always easy, for anyone, but she gives off a positive and supportive energy that allows me to share my thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
