James Castillo, LCSW
About me
As a licensed therapist dedicated to supporting individuals through life's complex challenges, I bring a compassionate and culturally responsive approach to mental health. My practice centers on teens, adolescents, and their parents, as well as young adults, in navigating relationship dynamics, family conflicts, grief, and personal growth, focusing on self-love, communication skills, life purpose, and school, social, and workplace challenges.
My therapeutic style honors each client's unique identity and experience, creating a safe and affirming space for exploration and healing. Drawing from evidence-based practices, I support individuals in developing stronger self-esteem, learning effective coping strategies, and working through attachment and interpersonal dynamics.
With a commitment to understanding diverse experiences, I strive to provide culturally sensitive care that respects individual backgrounds and perspectives. My goal is to walk alongside you, offering supportive guidance as you discover your strengths and move toward meaningful personal transformation.
Some of the treatment modalities I use are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT). My goal is to make mental health accessible to provide equity in our community.
