About Me

I am a licensed mental health therapist with the state of Florida with experience in working with children, teenagers and adults regarding many mental health concerns. I received my Bachelors of Arts from Kent State University with a major in psychology and a minor in conflict management, and proceeded to earn my Masters in Education through Cleveland State University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

I work with individuals regarding many mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, trauma and PTSD, and issues concerning grief or loss. I have worked for years with adults with concerns related to family relationships, parenting, and managing adjustments and transitions to new stages of life. I continue to build my knowledge and awareness of cultural, religious and spiritual factors that can influence the views and decisions of others, and work hard to understand and respect where my clients are coming from in address their individual needs.

I strive to be as open and empathetic as possible in my work, and believe that you as the client should have a say in the pace, frequency, and plans for your unique needs in the counseling process. Reaching out for help can be difficult, and I firmly believe that it is my job to support you as much as possible in your efforts to better improve your life. If you are ready to commit the time and energy to making the changes you want to see in your life, then I am here to support you.

Jamie has been my counselor for almost a year. It took me some time to realize my progress but now I see it. I know it’s been a slow progress but it’s nice to remember where I was a year ago compared to now and be able to say 100% that I am much better now. Jamie has been great about listening, providing doable coping mechanisms and tactics to better my brain health, she definitely makes me aware of things I hadn’t thought of. Her insight and tips are really helpful, I am super grateful for everything she’s taught me. Right now, it’s also important to me to continue the sessions because I note a significant difference when I do not keep up with our sessions as much as I should, I think ongoing counseling definitely has it’s benefits.

I have been under continuous psychiatric care since 1994. Jamie’s level of concern, knowledge, and professionalism is second to no mental health counselor I have had during that period.

Jamie is very helpful and is good at explaining what’s happening to me. That way I don’t feel alone and I understand why I’m feeling the way I am.

I am so glad to be back in therapy and back with my same counselor! Although she was only my counselor before for a short while I had many Epiphany‘s with her and it’s just so great to have a counselor who understands what is going through and can stop my mind from running 1,000,000 miles a minute and help me stop and prioritize and think about what I need to do instead of freaking out and being super overwhelmed about everything. I’m really happy to be back and extremely hopeful that I will get the help I need with her!

Jamie was so great in helping me get back on my feet. She knew exactly what I was going through and suggested things to me that none of my previous therapists did, or any of the many books I have read over the years. Online counseling with Jamie definitely helped me come back to being my old self when I was feeling pretty bad and unable to do much of anything social. I definitely recommend her to anyone who's considering online therapy, it works!

Jamie has been a wonderful counselor. I really needed someone to talk to confidentially and in a hurry. This service provided the medium, and Jamie responded within hours of me signing up. Since then she has been available every day through chat, and checks in with me when I'm slow to respond. She's helped me reevaluate my issues with depression and identify sources of stress. She's been very supportive and positive throughout our time together.

Written by L.E. on Apr 08, 2019 after counseling with Jamie for 2 weeks on issues concerning depression, stress, anxiety, grief, parenting issues, and self esteem

Jamie is the only counselor I’ve ever had that truly understands my situation. She understands it more so than most of my family or any friends I’ve ever had. She offers practical advice that is easy to implement. She is always available and concerned for her patients. She is easy to talk to and it is so nice to connect with someone who not only understands your situation and immediately offers practical help to get you feeling yourself again, but also to just have someone to talk to!

Jamie is very kind and down to earth. By that I mean I don't feel like it is a clinical environment; I feel like she lends her expertise in a kind, supportive way. She listens well and gives sound, helpful advice.
