About Me

I am a licensed mental health therapist with the state of Florida with experience in working with children, teenagers and adults regarding many mental health concerns. I received my Bachelors of Arts from Kent State University with a major in psychology and a minor in conflict management, and proceeded to earn my Masters in Education through Cleveland State University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

I work with individuals regarding many mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, trauma and PTSD, and issues concerning grief or loss. I have worked for years with adults with concerns related to family relationships, parenting, and managing adjustments and transitions to new stages of life. I continue to build my knowledge and awareness of cultural, religious and spiritual factors that can influence the views and decisions of others, and work hard to understand and respect where my clients are coming from in address their individual needs.

I strive to be as open and empathetic as possible in my work, and believe that you as the client should have a say in the pace, frequency, and plans for your unique needs in the counseling process. Reaching out for help can be difficult, and I firmly believe that it is my job to support you as much as possible in your efforts to better improve your life. It seems to me that Jamie is quite knowledgeable in the specific areas of the human psyche in which I am experiencing difficulty. Jamie does NOT “think out of the box”; she just doesn’t think in boxes at all. That distinction makes Jamie an excellent therapist. She also spends more time thinking about my issues than just our appointment time; she does research into my specific problems on her own time. I would recommend Jamie as a therapist to anyone I know.

Ms. Jamie has been more than amazing throughout my process with this application. I was worried about not doing in-office sessions but getting the time to write down my feelings and receiving feedback along with worksheets that help me understand me better, feels even better than in-office. I feel it's an on-going session as my homework doesn't stop at the last message or video chat, I'm always working on myself. When I falter, I can reach out and work on my issues some more. This has been a great experience so far, and Ms. Jamie has been thoroughly supportive and understanding. I feel much better when I get responses from her as they come with so many answers I've been looking for. Thank you so much for all your help!

Jamie has been a wonderful counselor. I really needed someone to talk to confidentially and in a hurry. This service provided the medium, and Jamie responded within hours of me signing up. Since then she has been available every day through chat, and checks in with me when I'm slow to respond. She's helped me reevaluate my issues with depression and identify sources of stress. She's been very supportive and positive throughout our time together.

Jamie is the only counselor I’ve ever had that truly understands my situation. She understands it more so than most of my family or any friends I’ve ever had. She offers practical advice that is easy to implement. She is always available and concerned for her patients. She is easy to talk to and it is so nice to connect with someone who not only understands your situation and immediately offers practical help to get you feeling yourself again, but also to just have someone to talk to!
